CF Subway Series Update:
After 4 weeks of events, Metropolis ties for fourth place with CF Queens! I want to send a special thank you to all our Metropolis athletes and supporters! Awesome performances by all!
One other thing that I wanted to add is that after participating in several competitions, I’m self awarding Metropolis the “Spirit of the Games” award. Without a doubt, our affiliate has shown to be an amazing group of individuals who not only put their hearts and best efforts during WODs, but are unwaveringly supportive of their fellow competitors and their team! Kudos to all. As a newbie to this throwdown, our voices and cheers outshined those affiliates who brought nearly 20+ athletes/supporters!!
Again – thank you all for joining us in our first Subway Series! This is only the beginning. Stay hungry and ready for this Saturday’s FGB!

DNF! Got through 3 rounds slowly, then grip failed, then callous came off. Subbed 2:1 knees up from hang for situps, which prob didn’t help, but bottom line just didn’t have it today. Fight again tomorrow.
Total time (incl. 3min rest): 41:30 rxd.
Really felt awful mid-way through this one, glad I got it done early.

1:06 slower than last time in March. The pace was off even at the first round and never really got it back.
Frankly, just happy to survive this one.
1st date with Barbara. Decided to scale to 10-20-30-40 to get full push ups in. 5 rounds and ring rows for 4 and green band for last round
4:35, 5:18, 4:42, 6:00, 5:25. Total 38:00. Next time I either do all pull ups in green band or do the full 20-30-40-50. TBD.
Worked it out to do this WOD at 5:30. If I don’t show up, Eric you have the right to call me a coward.
I never thought I would say this but overhead squats are the greatest thing in the world compared to a Metropolis situp. I am so torn up that I cannot sit down.

Splits were pretty even. First and last were the fastest by half a minute. I surprised myself on this one. Much faster than the first date with Barb not Rx’d.

Feeling unrecovered – between last week and Fran on Saturday my body was screaming the entire time and I could not string more than 3 pullups?! This is an issue

5 rounds in 47:19 Rx’d. Felt really good so I begged to finish the last round over the time limit to get a baseline time (was 22 situps in at 45 min) – thank you!!

@sass: my version is “stupid push-ups, I hate you.”. At 2-3 at a time, I’ve been frustrated all day. Maybe I shouldn’t go to work with post-WOD sweat to remind me all day about the WOD.
DNF cutoff at 45:00 with 8 air squats left. I tried to game this on the first round by pacing myself which I shouldn’t have done since we had 3 minutes rest. Splits were:
5:08, 5:55, 6:46, 7:05, whatever the last one came out as. Next time I will go faster in early rounds.
Sass-the HGH reference was a joke. You never know if the Narcs are reading our blog. But if you really want some, the New York Yankees trainer should be able to hook you up.
