I feel like handstand walking down a hill may end badly…at least for me it will. Yikes

5×3 Bench Press with Big Mike & V @ 185#.
Max Pull Ups: 20 (need to improve on those).
WOD: 14:49 (subbed 4 wall climbs for hand stand walks). Chasing AVA the whole time. Good push man!
Today was a lot harder than I expected (and looks on paper).
30 max unbroken PUs (felt there was room for more)
WOD: 17:55 (lunges were rough – real rough)
Max pull-ups(kipping) – 34. I began with ugly butterflies and finished with regular kipping.
WOD: 14:33 (subbed 4 wall climbs). Great push, Baston! Years of improper squatting/quad dominance finally paid off on the lunges although I did try to use the hamstrings more. I touched my nose on wall climbs and tried to climb down slow. I rested 10 seconds between each climb which I should probably shorten.
Prediction: Our legs will be very sore after this one.
18:11
4 wall walks each round nose to wall. Made up any no reps which was 1 round 1&2
I thought wall climbs were the hardest but my legs will tell me different tomorrow.
2 dead hang pull ups. Needs work!!!
Bench Press with Brian & Skinny
5 x 3 @ 185 lbs. That felt good
Amazing mobility warm up/ jazz-a-cise class with EJ.
Baled on the WOD, and did 21-15-9 GHD/Back Extensions.
I am firmly comitted to a rest day tomorrow. I am just feeling about as run down as I have ever felt.
11 ring pulls.
20:24, subbed 2 wall walks (first time doing these). This WOD basically exploited all my weaknesses – I can’t run to save my life and being upside down scares me. Oh, and lunges. Pretty sure I won’t be able to walk tomorrow.
rest day for me
same as cohen.. just listening to the body and also some prep for staten island half marathon this weekend… always remember to just listen to your body.. sometimes that means you go 2 days in a row then rest and sometimes you can go 4-5..
I gotta bench sometime this week though! that was a good idea!

21 something
subbed 4 wall walks for handstand walks
If I knew we were benching, I would have come to the gym – I was awake watching Homeland! Damn!
17:51
subbed 4 wall walks for handstand walks. Got closer to the wall than the last time we did these, but still need work.
1 dead-hang(ish) pull-up.
17:58
3 wall walks each round. I did not make out with the wall like Amy and Skinny- nice job guys! Where else do you get to say that….
3 dead hang pull ups. Goal= 5 by Sunday.
this blog is starting to sound alot like Bridget Jones’ Diary
I really wanted to go see the Murph Movie this Saturday.. but I’m on Boo duty.
Who’s going???
EJ, do you know if it will be out somewhere else after this?
@alli
Not sure, but I’ll find out. If not, we can do a movie night once it’s out on DVD at Metropolis
35 pullups (kipping). I wonder how many I would have done if I hadn’t known AVA’s number
~21:15 on the WOD. Was really a tough one because of the lunges. I had to scale back the workout midway through from wall walks to handstand holds.
21 dead hang pullups (kipping)
~21:30 on the WOD. Rx’d
Can improve time with practice on handstand walk. Great workout and yes the lunges were tough.
MURPH MOVIE
Hey guys,
Let me know if you’re interested in coming. So far I have:
Alicia, Francesco, Justin
8 strict pullups. When I joined crossfit I could only do 1.
22:59 with wall walks. Getting a bit closer to the wall but still have mobility issues.
EJ suggested going to see Dr. Mike. Can somebody post his phone # and address? Thanks!
@brett
All our dr/PT referrals can be found here. Dr Mike is on there too

@EJ – thanks. Is there a link I’m missing on our site that puts us directly there? I guess I can bookmark it if not.
@Brett – go to News/Events on the top bar and then click CFM Referrals toward the bottom of the text on the page.
stuck at work – forced rest day. Vball tonight though
18:48 rx’d
15 strict (so weak)
Was walking home and had to stop halfway. One week away made for weak legs today.
23:29, subbed wall walks, lunging like a rhinoceros at the end, ring rows.
Glad to be back.
16:56 (sub 5 wall walks for hs walk). 15 pull-ups strict.
Run / Lunge
30 GHDs
30 push-ups
Run / Lunge
20 GHDs
20 push-ups
Run / Lunge
10 GHDs
10 push-ups
Oops 26:29
24:10 i think
Subbed 3 wall climbs for handstand walks. How did i come up with 3? Well that was the rep where my hands/and or foot slipped and I almost fell on my head for rounds 1&2. Decided that was a good time to stop. Man it was slippery in there tonight.
Focused on pushing off on heel during lunges so I can walk tomorrow. But somehow I think it’s still going to hurt.
8 strict pullups. PR+3! (Overhand grip)
16:43, wall walks
15 pull ups
31:38 rxd. Need serious work on handstand walks.
Holy cow, that one hurt.
Run, 70 lunges, Bear Walk, 20 sec hand stand, Run, 40 lunges, Bear Walk, 20 sec hand stand, Run, cap.
30 Ring Rows.
Row 5k – 20:46
Did this as active recovery to break up some soreness from the past few days.
My 1000m split was around 4:12 for the first 4k and picked it up with a 3:58 for the last 1000m.
1/2 a pie of pizza = paleo challenge fail = this is all due to obama’s debate whiff so don’t blame me
This was a doozy. DNF – 2 rounds plus lap and 3/4 up the hill for lunges. 2 rounds of Bear crawl and 1 attempt at a wall climb instead of handstand walks.
